Hiroshima Mon Amour | A Funeral Feast - The 2015 Edition.

August 6, 1945 Little Boy, the first atomic bomb to be used in a military conflict, exploded at an altitude of 576 meters above the sky of Hiroshima, causing around 60.175 deaths, risen to 100.000 in the following years because of radiation. In 2002, the hibakusha (those affected by the radiation of nuclear fallout) were 285.000.
In 1978, Ultravox wrote Hiroshima Mon Amour, a sweet, poignant, beautiful new wave piece. This selection of videos mixing Ultravox's song with images from Alain Resnais' Hiroshima Mon Amour (1959), a pioneering drama film catalyst for French Nuovelle Vague artistic movement, is to remember the 70th anniversary of that day.
